The Bioscience Technology Certificate provides entry-level skills to those seeking employment in medical and research laboratories. This is an entry-level program but some experience with general biology, general chemistry and high school algebra will be useful. Skills attainment will focus on laboratory skills and techniques, laboratory mathematics and general laboratory operations. This program is designed to give students accelerated access to training that will help them upskill their career.

The Introduction to Laboratory Principles & Technique course is taught in-person by faculty at the Forest Park location of St. Louis Community College (STLCC) and will require a three-hour commitment once a week for 16 weeks. All other required courses in this program are online.
