WashU Continuing & Professional Studies (CAPS) students may have unique needs or backgrounds that qualify them for additional funding options that help make education more accessible.

Half-tuition for Individuals 60+

People 60 years of age and over may enroll for credit in most CAPS courses at one-half the regular tuition. Exceptions include applied music, independent courses (i.e. independent study, directed research, master’s thesis), special programs and courses in which enrollment is limited. This discount cannot be combined with the WashU Tuition Assistance benefit, CAPS scholarships or military benefits. A birth certificate, driver’s license or other official verification of age is required at the time of registration.

Veteran & Active Military Member Benefits

Veterans, active military members, and their dependents who are eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill® may have some or all of their tuition covered by their benefits. Contact the VA to determine eligibility.

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government website at http://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.

Start your journey with a CAPS student recruiter

Prospective students should schedule an appointment with a recruiter to discuss their interests before applying for admission to a degree or certificate program. Recruiters can also help you if you are undecided about your academic goals or want to become more familiar with college procedures before applying for admission.
