WashU Continuing & Professional Studies(CAPS) is committed to providing programs that meet the needs of the modern learner. Balancing personal and professional responsibilities with a college education can be difficult. Customized programs are often developed to support the success of CAPS students. These programs may be developed for a specific group of students and not open to all applicants. Please schedule a consultation with a CAPS staff member to determine eligibility for Special Programs.
By completing additional course work prescribed by the instructor, students earn 4 credits for each ACTRAC course rather than the usual 3 credits. By taking ACTRAC courses, students can reduce the total number of courses they must take before they graduate.
As the science concerned with the study of behavior, Psychological & Brain Sciences includes such areas as learning and memory, motivation, sensory processes and perception, biological bases of behavior, social interactions, aging and development, personality, and clinical and affective psychology.
The Combined Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree Program in the School of Continuing & Professional Studies (CAPS) is designed for students who wish to pursue rigorous and accelerated study that will lead to both a BSIS and either a Master of Arts or Master of Science in areas of study for which there are degree programs at CAPS.
The CAPS Extend(Ed) learning program offers flexible, non-credit professional credentials aimed at helping you upskill quickly and affordably.
The Pre-Nursing curriculum provides students with an ideal foundation for their professional studies: strong communication skills, practical analytical and problem-solving abilities, an appreciation for complex ethical questions, and an introduction to human sciences.
This course, CAPS-HRM 3002, explores the intersection of key HR skill areas, including leadership, organizational development, talent acquisition, and labor relations. It equips HR professionals with the foundational knowledge and practical tools needed to pursue the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) competency-based certifications.
Students may audit a wide selection of undergraduate courses at WashU – Continuing & Professional Studies (CAPS) for $400 per course.
